Gentle Yet Powerful Suction and Impression Disinfectants and Cleaners

Suction systems are heavily contaminated and pose a real danger of causing infection. Thorough cleaning and disinfection of suction units and dental aspirating systems is critical to prevent the build-up of biofilm. We manufacture a powerful cleaning concentrate as well as a disinfectant with proven effectiveness.

Dental impressions and casts are highly contaminated with patient saliva or blood upon removal of the patient''s mouth. Such fluids can contain viral, bacterial and fungal pathogens, including HIV, hepatitis A, B, and C viruses and herpes. Dental impressions and dentures should therefore be disinfected immediately after removal from the patient`s mouth. As a Swiss manufacturer of disinfectants, we produce ready-to-use impression disinfectants as well as economical immersion disinfectants. All our impression disinfectants exhibit excellent material compatibility and dimensional accuracy for polyether, silicone and alginate impression.

Infection Control Term of the Day
The capacitiy of a disinfectant to inactivate viruses. For proving virucidal efficacy of disinfectants, European standards require in vitro tests (quantitative suspension tests; in the European Norms referred to as phase 2/step 1 e.g. EN 14476. The two test viruses required for claiming virucidal activity according to EN 14476 are poliovirus (type 1) and adenovirus (type 5). In Germany, the guidelines of the German Association for the Control of Virus Diseases (DVV) and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), in deviation from EN 14476, demand additional proof of efficacy against polyomavirus (SV40).
